- Required credentials
- DeepSeek API Key
- Monitoring currency
- CNY / USD · Select the account currency
- What is monitored
- Available account balance
- Official /user/balance account funds. Keys and projects share the account balance. Paid and promotional amounts are retained separately for each currency.
How to check your DeepSeek API balance manually
- Sign in to the DeepSeek platform and open the top-up and balance page to see the available balance and its topped-up and granted parts.
- You can also call the official GET /user/balance endpoint: total_balance is the total available, granted_balance is the unexpired granted balance, and topped_up_balance is the topped-up balance, returned per currency.
Connect DeepSeek to Quota Monitor
Sign in to your API account
Open the official DeepSeek API Keys page using the account that pays for API usage. Chat account status is not API billing.
Create a dedicated API key
Save the full key securely. Do not use a third-party relay key. This connection queries only official DeepSeek endpoints.
Connect and choose a currency
In your Quota Monitor project, add DeepSeek, enter the key, and select CNY or USD to match official billing. Saving links it to the current project.
Refresh and compare available funds
Check that the successful query time changes. Compare the same currency in the official console, reviewing paid and promotional funds separately.
What Quota Monitor reads from DeepSeek
- Never add CNY and USD. A missing currency is reported as missing, not replaced with another currency or a fabricated zero.
- Reusing an account across projects does not create additional funds. Promotional balance validity follows the provider response.
- The dashboard shows the latest successful snapshot. Manual refresh queries the provider again but cannot eliminate upstream billing delays. An old balance is not a new result after a failed query.
DeepSeek FAQ and troubleshooting
- Why is my selected currency missing?
- Check the currency in official billing and choose it on the connection. Missing data is not zero.
- Why is the balance unchanged after replacing a key?
- Keys on one DeepSeek account share funds. A new key does not create a new wallet.
- Why was the key rejected?
- Use a complete, unrevoked official DeepSeek key. Retry later for rate limits. Share only an error code and time for troubleshooting, never the key.
- What should I do about 402 Insufficient Balance?
- DeepSeek documents this as running out of balance; add funds on the top-up page. Charges use the granted balance first and the topped-up balance after that. Granted balance can expire, and the balance endpoint counts only the unexpired part.
