- AI Gateway credits of the Vercel team that owns the key. Multiple projects and keys may share these funds.
Connect Vercel AI Gateway to Quota Monitor
Select the correct Vercel team
Choose the team you top up, then open AI Gateway → API Keys. Do not accidentally use a personal or different team account.
Create an AI Gateway key
Choose Create key, name it, and save the full value. Do not use an account Access Token. A key budget limits spending; it does not create a new wallet.
Connect Vercel AI Gateway
Choose Vercel AI Gateway in your Quota Monitor project and save the Gateway key. No Vercel project ID is needed; currency is USD.
Verify credits in the same team
Refresh, check the successful time, and compare AI Gateway credits. The provider link opens the Vercel dashboard; verify the selected team before viewing or topping up.
What Quota Monitor reads from Vercel AI Gateway
- Key budget limits are not account balances. BYOK provider account funds are excluded.
- The /v1/credits path is not publicly documented. Format or permission changes cause failures; other cost fields are never used to estimate balances.
- The dashboard shows the latest successful snapshot. Manual refresh queries the provider again but cannot eliminate upstream billing delays. An old balance is not a new result after a failed query.
Vercel AI Gateway FAQ and troubleshooting
- Can I use a Vercel Access Token?
- No. Use an AI Gateway key. Do not submit broader account authorization for this balance connection.
- Why do amounts differ from the console?
- Check the team, query time, and that you are comparing Gateway credits, not key budgets or BYOK wallets.
- Why did the balance endpoint stop working?
- There is no public stable contract for this path. After checking credentials and rate limits, investigate upstream changes. Old balances or model pricing are not used to estimate new funds.
